I’m Julia — a creative entrepreneur, experience designer, hospitality professional and eternal nomad. My sun sign is cancer - hence my need to create cocoons in all of my ‘places’ in which to feel safe, nurtured and calm. 

For over a decade, I’ve worked in hospitality: opening restaurants, curating spaces, and building projects rooted in connection, beauty, and presence. I live between Marseille, where I co-own four hospitality businesses, Ibiza, where I live with the love of my life, and Nicaragua, where my partner and I are building a surf & soul sanctuary - we both move with the rhythm of the seasons and the sea, driven by a deep and shared love of surfing. 

The Self Retreat was born from this very personal, essential need I have always had: to retreat and to come back to myself. To recharge in a beautiful space with lots of natural light, creative inspiration and ease.

My apartment in Marseille isn’t a traditional Airbnb. It’s a living, breathing place. It carries my story, my books, my art collection, my journey. And over the years, I’ve come to realize how many people are craving not just a place to sleep, but a place to land. To feel. To reset.

That’s what I’ve created here. 

It’s not “perfect” in the traditional sense. 

But it DOES have something magical. Whenever I come home, I feel like I’m stepping into a mini-retreat.

A soft, sacred little world — with light, stillness, and intention. I feel so good in this little tree-top house overlooking the metropolis of Marseille.
